So I think this nearly five minute long commercial is pretty brilliant but I can't help but point out that it's a perfect example of how much recent advertising is riding on coattails of the Tim and Eric directorial approach; the ludicrous and in our face approach. I'm sure most of you who follow Motionographer saw this, but I had to re-post anyway. This is longer than most pieces we make and this one was created with no dialogue, and still has a very compelling story. The sound design is great, and the character animation to capture feeling and mood with body language is great since there are no facial expressions.

I want another Deloitte so that a juggernaut such as this can be made. Once again, an astounding work of branded entertainment in which both employees and the public can rally around. This also reminded me of Shattered posted by Chad just yesterday.

This made me think of what Deloitte would have been with rock climbing as the metaphor. This short is pretty amazing, the footage is out of control, and the story is mesmerizing.
Here are a few behind the scenes looks into the making of this. I love the quote "filmmaking is about collaboration". I think we should push to continue to tell stories similar to this to illustrate an idea in a really powerful way.
