Inside Man - Animations

Here are two animation reels featuring work that's appeared on CNN's Inside Man. There's usually one or two of these animations per episode and they're just a really fun way to fast track a lot of information so the audience can get back to the story with proper context. Ultimately, I just really dig CNN's commitment to not just journalism but entertainment as well.

Animated Projection

To go off of Chad's post below I've always wanted to do something like this. The first time I saw something like it was at the 2011 Billboard music awards when Beyonce performed Run The World. You'll have to go to the Vimeo page.

Bang Bang

Check out this amazing combination of live performance and motion-graphics.  This creates a slew of ideas for conference work and the possibility of bringing graphic work to "life" for a live audience.

really unique

I love that the line weight is almost the same throughout, and that hierarchy is created by complexity in the areas where lines converge and then diverge.

Another data-driven piece

This is a piece about wealth inequality in America. They did a pretty good job of showing huge proportion differences, which is difficult in 16:9. I also like how they re-framed the data to bring the scale down something that would be more relatable to viewers.

Pool Party

I like this as an art installation that could be easily implemented for a conference (Hilton, Hampton, HGI)
