I came across these two videos by the same guy. I think the style could be applied to a lot of things. History pieces, opening credits, kickstarter videos, est. Kind of has a Wes Anderson feel to it.

DEATH MASTER'S HOUSE
Still coming off of the Halloween BGSU 48-Hour, I thought I'd post this festive short. I've been following Holomax for a while and their films are always funny, charming, and well produced. From a technical standpoint, I'm also always excited to see their stuff because they are one of the few people I know who've really embraced the Bolex D16.

La Huida - The Runaway
Wes Anderson meets Steven Soderbergh meets music video meets Spanish Cinema. I really like the unreliable narrator, the little sound design ideas, the clever practical effects, and the super fun ending. The cinematography definitely lends itself to Wes and I can't help but think that the film stock adds a lot to the film. It also has elements of an caper flick and a music video.
