Mega Plush

Following Josh's post with the AT-AT, here's another 'toy' coming to life in fantastic form using a completely different approach.  The story may not be all that original, but there were some nicely composed shots in this piece, as well as some pretty well-used short camera moves/focus pulls which make all the difference in pulling the viewer into a 3-D animation.  Look out for Greyscale Gorilla's City Kit!

  1. I agree, there were some things that were hit or miss in this piece. I'll preface with the fact that it's leaps and bound better than anything I could do in 3D. Some of the texture look great while others fall kind of flat; they have that pasted or wrapped quality to them. The rigging for the sock monkeys is noticeably better than the bear's. I think that stocky characters must tend to accent stretching and tearing with big moves.

The angles are great, however I thought bullet time was dead. The sound design is probably my favorite element in this piece.
