La Huida - The Runaway

Wes Anderson meets Steven Soderbergh meets music video meets Spanish Cinema. I really like the unreliable narrator, the little sound design ideas, the clever practical effects, and the super fun ending. The cinematography definitely lends itself to Wes and I can't help but think that the film stock adds a lot to the film. It also has elements of an caper flick and a music video.

Orange is the New Black: Season Two

Notes on Blindness

I was looking through my watch-laters on Vimeo and I wanted to highlight this piece from the New York Times (who has a lot of great videos, btw).

I really like Notes on Blindness not only because it's an interesting dramatization (a genre/style I would like to explore a little more) but because the way they give the viewer a feeling of blindness through the sound design and the selective focus.

What is it you desire most?

I don't know what's going on in Thailand, but I dig it!  This is a perfect follow-up to our Hampton work around Well-Being and purpose.

TrueMove - Giving

This short film about giving is pretty moving, and it is what I see being possible when creating films to illustrate a value or a culture.  I think this type of work should be one source of inspiration as we continue to move forward with 'culture movement' type films.

Make every yard count - Nike

Using crowd funded images and submitted through social media, this film utilizes 1,440 images and 1 pissed off pigeon.

Hundred Waves - Cavity

Really cool use of light and overlays.

Animated Projection

To go off of Chad's post below I've always wanted to do something like this. The first time I saw something like it was at the 2011 Billboard music awards when Beyonce performed Run The World. You'll have to go to the Vimeo page.

So cool...

Bang Bang

Check out this amazing combination of live performance and motion-graphics.  This creates a slew of ideas for conference work and the possibility of bringing graphic work to "life" for a live audience.

Trip - The Virgin Atlantic Safety Film

This is one of the latest in what can only be described as some sort of light-humor-arms-race among airline safety films. I suprised to see just how little actually takes place inside an airplane.
