I know that I have certainly had clients want to include emails or texts in their filmic stories. If you have ever heard something like "yeah just have this manager send out an email saying XYZ and show it!", then this is for you.
House of cards came up with a very classy way to do show this very boring yet very real mode of communication in an elegant fashion with simple graphic overlays. I'll certainly be adapting this method in the future.
In the first season they show the phones, which is pretty normal. But when I saw this in the second season I was really surprised how well it works and it looks amazing!
