Little Kaiju.

I really like the minimalistic approach to this, particularly the sound design and soundtrack choices. There is a quietness to it, the soundtrack never hits hard, and there is is nothing that jumps out and jostles the audience out of the world it creates. The sound design and soundtrack become the perfect partner to the visual by showing control and poise.

  1. Really nice piece. Super clean. I agree, the sound design was awesome. There's a shot at 2:30 where the camera cuts and the noise from the HVAC unit in the wall gets noticeably quieter. It makes me think that it was added back in rather that taken completely out...

  2. Good call! I noticed that as the music comes in, it almost replaces the constant HVAC creating more of an intimate initial moment between the two characters. Something I did not notice at all after first viewing.
