Curtis L. Wiebe, Filmmaker

Just another interview video, but what I really like about this one is the playfulness and how some of the elements Curtis makes are actually interacting with him throughout the piece. Maybe there are some fun things we can do with titles for Sven's video. Actually have him produce the title of the piece, or his lower 3rd in physical form on his press. Just thoughts.
Check out Curtis's work below to see his puppets in action, I must say I am a fan.

  1. Agreed, super cool how his creations move around in his frame. I also think this is another example of hand-made effects are making a come back.

It's crazy how when you remove the "you should think this is totally real" element that CGI has thrust upon us the suspension of disbelief is sometimes greater; I totally accept that that is a robot and not a superimposed Transformer.

As it relates to Sven's video, I would love to explore different ways the tools of his trade can interact in the piece. I've seen a lot of mini docs on print making that create the titles using the press or even the block letters; I wonder how we could really push it?
